Both routes depend on the underlying licence record. Neither can correct wrong source data by itself.
Is the mParivahan Virtual DL Valid?
Government guidance recognises electronic DL and RC records made available through DigiLocker or mParivahan under the applicable framework. Keep the official app record accessible and verifiable. A manually edited screenshot is not the same as the live Virtual DL.
Why mParivahan Cannot Find the DL
Incorrect number format
Compare the state prefix, RTO code, year, serial digits and leading zeroes with the official record.
DOB does not match
Enter the DOB stored in the transport record. If the source record is wrong, use the appropriate correction service.
Newly issued DL is not yet synchronised
The test can be passed and the application approved before the final record is available to the app. Check application status and licence-number generation.
Old licence is not digitised
Contact the issuing RTO about record verification or backlog entry. The app cannot create a missing historical source record.
