Why Is My Driving Licence Record Not Found?
Incorrect DL-number format
Older and newer licence formats can use different arrangements of state code, RTO code, year and serial digits. Compare every character with the physical card, an old receipt, DigiLocker record or official SMS.
Date-of-birth mismatch
The DOB entered must match the transport record. A correct DOB on Aadhaar does not automatically correct a different DOB stored against the licence.
Old licence is not digitised
Some older paper or booklet licences may not be available in the central online record. Contact the issuing RTO about record verification, correction or backlog entry. Do not submit a new driving-licence application merely because the old record is missing online.
Recently approved licence
Approval, licence-number generation, printing and delivery are separate stages. If you recently passed the test and are still waiting for approval, check the application rather than the issued-DL record.
Temporary portal problem
Captcha failures, timeouts and unavailable results can occur during maintenance or heavy demand. Confirm that you are on a .gov.in service and try again later.
Can You Check DL Status through mParivahan?

Can I check my driving licence using only a mobile number?
A mobile number may support account access or OTP verification, but it is not a universal public identifier for checking an issued DL. The official DL-status form uses the DL number and DOB.
Is the DL-status check free?
The government record lookup itself does not require you to pay a third-party website. A separate licence service, such as renewal or replacement, can have government and user charges.
Why does my DL show expired?
