What to Include in a Correction Report
- The full URL of the page.
- The exact heading or sentence you believe is incorrect.
- A short explanation of the problem.
- A link to the relevant official source, notification or government page.
- The date on which you observed the issue.
If a screenshot is genuinely necessary, remove licence numbers, application numbers, QR codes, names, photographs, addresses and other personal information before sending it.
Do Not Send Sensitive Data
- Driving-licence or learner-licence numbers
- Aadhaar, PAN, passport or voter-identification numbers
- Date of birth, address or identity-document scans
- OTP, password, MPIN or account-recovery code
- Payment-card, UPI or bank information
- Medical certificates, signatures or licence QR codes
How Corrections Are Handled
Log the report. We identify the page, claim and evidence supplied.
Check the primary source. The relevant official route, rule, notification or department page is reviewed.
Assess materiality. Safety, eligibility, legal-validity and service-route errors receive priority.
Correct transparently. A material change should update the page's reviewed date and, where useful, include a correction note.
Submitting a report does not guarantee that a requested wording change will be made. Decisions are based on evidence, user safety and the page's intended scope.
