Kerala proof checked 23 September 2026: Kerala MVD maintains a separate citizen-services portal for state transport applications and payment workflows, while driving-licence issue/print functions route through the national Sarathi system. The KL page must show this division so users do not enter DL details into the Kerala e-tax area or confuse a payment service with a licence PDF.

Kerala-specific fallback: use Sarathi after selecting Kerala for the licence transaction. Use the Kerala MVD portal only for the citizen service it explicitly names, and use the Kerala MVD contact/RTO route when an older KL record is not digitised.

Select Kerala on the official Sarathi state selector and check the Driving Licence menu for Print DL/Services on DL. For an issuer-fetched document stored in a wallet, use DigiLocker.

Download Steps

  1. Select Kerala.
  2. Open the Driving Licence menu.
  3. Choose the state-enabled print or service option.
  4. Enter the required application/DL number and DOB.
  5. Complete official verification and save the output.

If the page asks for an application number, do not substitute the DL number. Recover the application number from the acknowledgement, receipt, message or Find Application Number service.

When the PDF Is Not Available

Check whether the application is approved and the DL number generated. Then try DigiLocker or mParivahan. For an older KL record, verify the number/DOB and contact the issuing Sub RTO/RTO if digitisation is incomplete.

Is a Malayalam translation of the DL a separate document?

No. Use the official issued record. Page instructions may be explained bilingually, but do not translate or edit authority data in the DL.
